If you ever get the chance to play Osu, a point and click game that has a similar game play idea as Guitar Hero (without the guitar), based off of my own personal opinion of the game, I’d recommend passing up the opportunity, unless you’re into Japanese pop music with annoyingly difficult point click and drag mechanics to hit notes and actually complete songs. I cannot even begin to explain how much this game has made me rage. Even of the easiest of difficulties, Osu has proven to be a mighty foe in which I can rarely conquer. Though I have been able to beat a few songs, this has only been because of the difficulty of the song- “Baby difficulty”.
However, another reason which I say it is extremely annoying is the simple fact that even though I’m probably the worst player in the history of Osu, it’s extremely addicting, and despite the hate for it, I actually have the urge to play it as I write this. It’s stupid little icon it just sitting there, taunting me, “You suck really badly, but play me!”
The gist of the game: You wait for the circle to close around the “note”, then click and move on to the next note. If it is kind of banana shaped, or has a long tube thing attached to it, you click and drag as the ball moves. If at the end of the tube thingy there is an arrow pointing the way you came from, you guessed it, you go back the way you came from (once you get there). Lastly, (from what I remember) there is the spinner wheel, where you click (and hold) and drag your mouse in circles as fast as you can to rack up points.
I hate this game.
