I got Pikachu in the Pokemon personality quiz. Find out what you'll be at Everybody Plays
Team builder is LIVE on the NA server! Riot, you have finally made up for all of the lag that you STILL HAVEN’T FIXED. *HINT HINT* If this actually does go live and it stays up as a permanent thing, you have totally reconciled all the pain you have put us through while attempting to play for the past few months. If you are unaware of what Team Builder is, you get to not only pick your champion, role, and lane before you join the queue, but it also guarantees the people who main certain roles their mains before they get into a game, so that one, there is no arguing over lanes, two, you can unconventional picks and roles without getting hardly any flack for doing it, so if you REALLY wanna be that AP Garen in the Mid lane, go for it. I mean, you’re gonna have a pretty hard time, but nothing’s stopping you.
If you wanna try out Team Builder, it is only live on NA servers for a few days, so play it while you can, I HIGHLY recommend it. However, I do have one complaint. Evidently, not very many people wanna play ADC in Team Builder, which is weird. Personally, I’d expect a crap ton of people wanting to finally be able to “instalock” their ADC role and champion. In Team Builder, you can chose your champion, summoner spells, runes, and masteries just like normal. However, what is new, is you get to lock in your lane and what position you’re playing in that lane as well. Good bye tilt? Let’s sure hope so! So Super Week in the Season 4 Spring Split is now over, and a few teams come out with no more losses than they went in to the week with: TSM and Cloud 9 are the two that I can think of right off the top of my head, though Cloud 9 was able to come out undefeated in Super Week only by the skin of their teeth because of a fatal last minute throw from Dignitas, which not only gave an ace to Cloud 9 on Dignitas, but also, obviously, the game, which is really unfortunate for Dignitas fans, because up until that fight, I think just about everybody was thinking that Cloud 9 was going to lose that game, which is obviously a HUGE let down when your favorite team is up, then out of nowhere completely hands the game over to the enemy team who is able to end it within the next minute or so.
Back on track here: TSM comes out of Super Week with four wins, which puts them at a 17-3 record. Cloud 9 came out with four wins as well, though their record is 16-4. Curse came out of the week securing three wins, putting them at 8-12. CLG was able to pull off two wins, making their record 12-8. Dignitas, XDG, and Evil Geniuses were only able to come out with one win each, putting their records at 9-11, 5-15, and 6-13 respectively. Unfortunately, Team Coast was not able to secure any wins, making their record 7-13. Cloud 9 was BARELY able to pull off their second win of the day today when they beat Team Dignitas, who had been winning the game up until this point, when they had a terrible team fight and Cloud 9 got an ace which allowed Cloud 9 to push one final time and take the game. Dignitas literally threw the game away at the last moment, because if it would have been Dignitas that got that ace on to Cloud 9, the exact opposite would have happened: all of Cloud 9’s players would have been killed, giving the open nexus turrets, followed by the nexus and the win for Dignitas. I guess this game goes to show that last minute throws from teams that were in the lead are still possible if there are poorly executed team fights when trying to win games. Let Dignitas’s accidental mess up (because some teams purposefully mess up apparently :P) be a fair warning to say that just because you have an amazing team fight as well as a commanding lead, it doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed the game right from there. You still have to finish the game out and finish it well. It ain’t over ‘till the fat lady sings.
I apologize for this being out SUPER late, the power was out. -.- Starting Friday is the NALCS super week. What does that mean? It means LOTS and lots of games. Teams will, on some days, even play more than once, though they won’t necessarily play two every day, it’s still awesome to see multiple games played by your favorite teams, because I mean come on, you like them because you either like their play style or you find their team comps or synergy to be interesting. Well, either that, or you just jumped on a bandwagon when Cloud 9 won the Season 3 Championship. Though I recognize that not everybody did that, as some Cloud 9 fans started to follow them as soon as they made their appearance in the LCS, simply because I was new and they seemed to be the underdogs so I THOUGHT I was avoiding a band wagon. Oh well, I’m sold on them now. Anyways, some people start to like other teams when they get popular because they actually are good, and not just because it’s popular to like them, though the bandwagon approach is, sadly, the more common of the two.
Super week has the potential to allow Cloud 9 to take their number one spot back from TSM if someone manages to beat TSM and Cloud 9 doesn’t lose at all. We’ll see how this goes. What makes COD4 so great that it’s still one of the most played PC CODs on the market? Let’s see: Call of Duty 4 is the game that made Call of Duty what it is today, with the exception of the servers you could choose from and join based off of amount of players, game mode, whether it was hard or soft core, or even if you just liked the map. Not only this, but server are able to be modded and you can even change some settings in the server without even needing mods, such as making a low gravity server, so you could even have a high jump (technically) vanilla server. With nothing to take away from the game, like World at War’s Nazi Zombies, (other than the campaign) the game has remained heavily multiplayer pvp, and while there are hackers, as with any game, the majority of people are honorable and play purely off of skill (or lack thereof, like me).
Not only is it one of the most consistent Call of Duty multiplayer games, there are also thousands of multiplayer server, with thousands of players on them all the time. There still remain COD4 based clans that compete regularly in TCC leagues and other things such as those. Call of Duty 4 also has some of the most realistic feeling combat, especially in hardcore servers, due to not needing half of a mag to kill somebody. If you hit them, it takes, usually, two to three shots at the most. COD4 remains one of my favorite games of all time and is at the top of my list as far as Call of Duty games go, not to mention shooters in general. Riot has said that they have been working on a new queue system that they are calling Team Builder. In the Team Builder queue system, you are able to select the role you want to play before you actually enter the queue. This new system is an attempt (and in my opinion a very much needed system) to make it so people won’t fight over lanes in Champion Select, which if you’ve ever played anything besides ARAMs, you know that players arguing over lanes and even champions can be a sentence to a loss from the very start of the game, as the players go on tilt because of being irritated and then don’t (usually) play to the best of their ability and often (try to) make stupid plays because they are playing how they feel-mad. When you play mad, you often times play over aggressive. When you play over aggressive, unless you are really good at escapes, you often die horribly. When you die while on tilt, your tilt worsens, and the unfortunate chain repeats itself numerous times until the game is over. Don’t get me wrong, if you don’t get the lane you want, I’m not saying that’s grounds to just DC and leave your team to fight a 4v5, in fact that’s probably the worst idea, considering that you not only cause your team to get even more mad, making their tilts worse, but you also are likely to get mine reports for leaving.
Back on track here though, Riot’s new queue system, which has been an idea of many for quite some time, is going to be released, from what I understand, for just about one week on all the different servers, apparently getting better with bug fixes and thigns of that nature as it goes along. Hopefully, this won’t end up like the 1v1 and 2v2 game modes, and will stay forever. For people who don’t play ranked, either because they aren’t level 30 yet, don’t feel like they’re good enough yet, or simply don’t want to, we need this new queue system. It will make games a whole lot easier for all of us. And, hopefully, more fun as well. What happened to TSM’s Bjergsen? Was he truly arrested, and if so why? Did TSM kick him off the team? Why would they do that when he was obviously a great help to the team? If he was kicked off TSM, why would he move back to Denmark when he could make it on to another team here in NA? Why does no one know what happened to Bjergsen? There are so many rumors going around about what happened to Bjergsen that it just isn’t even funny anymore. I don’t know about most people, but personally I chuckled a little bit when I heard he had been arrested, that he had been kicked off the team, and that he quit all in the same hour.
Fortunately for Bjerger fans such as me, none of these are true. In a recent video put up by Reginald, they explain that Regi is taking Bjergsen’s place during week 7 of the NALCS and will return to the LCS in week 8. He had to go back to Denmark because some issues with his visa and had to get it renewed so that he was legally allowed to be here. I mean that usually helps, right? Regi states that as a team they thought it would be smarter to have him go back and renew it now than it would be to wait until he needed to and miss out on some of the tournament games where they really need him. Today’s game of TSM versus Cloud 9 was said to be the biggest game of the season so far. Why? It’s because the victor of that game was supposed to gain the number one rank in the entire (NA) LCS. Why do I sound skeptical? That’s because Cloud 9 lost to XDG of all teams when they tried to do a double AP team comp, which evidently didn’t work out for them. Ok, so what? What does that have anything to do with today’s TSM-Cloud 9 game? XDG beating Cloud 9 yesterday means that C 9’s record wasn’t one game different than TSM’s was. That loss put them at one less win than they needed to exceed TSM. So unfortunately for Cloud 9, this is proof that just because a team has the exact opposite record that you have, doesn’t mean that you can just overlook them and try a risky team comp that if it works, the game will end quickly. A simple Banshee’s Veil and that double AP is relatively busted, though I have to give credit to both teams: Cloud 9’s credit comes in where they realized that a double AP comp has pretty significant damage potential and quick game closing potential. XDG’s credit comes in where they got their Banshee’s Veils, completely countering Cloud 9.
Though they did not claim the number one rank, Cloud 9 did in fact claim the victory over TSM which had the potential to put them back in to the number one position. If I were on C 9, I would be kicking myself in the butt pretty hard over that loss to XDG. It may also be worth mentioning that XDG is Season 3’s Vulcun. So yeah, they have the potential to be REALLY good again. That is, if they can ever get their lineup straightened out. Loadout. There are a lot of things that I could say about this game. For one, it seems incredibly reminiscent of the Team Fortress 2 days, with the added exception of greater weapon customization. Another thing is, if you have a weak stomach don’t play this game, because this game is pretty incredibly gory. However, you can turn off gore and nudity (though so far I haven’t encountered any) in your options.
There are four basic guns: rifle, rocket, pulse, and beam, and each has their own unique firing styles and ammos, and each can be eventually turned into an entirely new gun altogether. For example, the rifle stars out as an assault rifle, but depending on how you upgrade the stock, barrel, ammo, and other things, you can make it into a shotgun, a sniper rifle, or potentially even a submachine gun. The Pulse gun is essentially a continually firing ray gun with a beam that goes quite a distance, but until upgraded, seems to do hardly any damage. The rocket gun is pretty obvious what it is: It’s a rocket launcher. You can upgrade it to shoot more rockets, hold more rockets, and many other things. The pulse gun is something that I really think is cool. It shoots what seem to be small bolts/balls of electricity at your enemies. Unfortunately I have not looked at any of the upgrades for the pulse gun. Loadout is available on Steam and is free to play. |
